The Latest Trends

 Read this article if:

  • You like to keep up with the latest looks
  • You want a new style and colour
  • You want some expert advice

“Look, it’s one of the great mysteries of the world, I cannot answer that question.  I think I’m vaguely blonde.  To be perfectly frank, I don’t know [When asked what colour her hair is].”  Cate Blanchett

We are delighted to welcome Inanch, one of London ’s trendiest hairdressers, who is at the helm of the wonderful Inanch Hair Design salon in Great Portland Street .  She will be keeping us up-to-date with the latest trends and news.  Here are her forecasts for Autumn/Winter, along with some top tips for keeping your hair in good condition.

  • Solid colours. dark glossy shiny hair with strong purples and reds.  Rich panels of colour instead of fine weaves. Blondes are having stronger silver white panels or gold warm tones

  • Those with fairer skin are looking good with warmer tones on their hair. Taking in to consideration eye, eyebrow and skin colour when choosing the best tone for you

  • Darker skinned ladies are having strong blue black colours with extra colour added, again, your colouring will determine the tones used.

  • To tackle frizzy hair in this damp weather we use Phyto 'Defrisant' or 'Preen cream' by Phillip Kingsley. For short funky hairstyles Schwarzkopf BC Styling Treat 'Texturising Cream' works a treat and doesn't make hair flat or lifeless.

  • Another product by BC that we are loving in the salon is 'Refreshing Spray'. The name says it all - it refreshes the style. When hair is feeling limp you spray and tousled you hair and it gives extra body and shine.

  • People love to hate the lovely Victoria Beckham, whom I personally love. But, love her or hate her, everyone still want to have her hairstyles. She has well and truly bought back the 'Bob' making it a very popular style again in all of its variations.

Visit Inanch's salon and you can enjoy a drink at the bar and then, once you have had a consultation, you go into the back wash room which is a semi darkened room with mystical calming music .  The room is lit by aromatic candles and, combined with a head massage, is a very relaxing experience.
